The award for Best Chef: New York City goes to:
Michael Anthony
Gramercy Tavern
Michael is the second chef to win this award for Gramercy Tavern (the first was Tom Colicchio in 2000). He has been executive chef since 2006, but when he isn’t in the kitchen, you’ll find him on the golf course.
Best Chef Midwest: Tory Miller

L’Etoile, Madison, WI
This is the second time a chef from L’Etoile has taken home this award. Chef Tory is steadfast in his devotion to local produce and Wisconsin farmers.
Best Chef Mid-Atlantic: Maricel Presilla

The award for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic goes to:
Maricel Presilla
Cucharamama, Hoboken, NJ
Maricel is the third woman to win the award for this region (the first two were Susanna Foo in 1997, and Ann Cashion in 2004). When she isn’t in the kitchen, Dr. Presilla is also a professor of medieval Spanish history.
America's Classics: Nora's Fish Creek Inn, Wilson, WY
It's time to meet our second 2012 America's Classic: Nora's Fish Creek Inn in Wilson, Wyoming!
Best Chef Great Lakes: Bruce Sherman

This is Bruce Sherman’s fifth nomination and first win. A Chicago native, Bruce credits his travels to Paris, Southeast Asia, and London with influencing his seasonal cuisine.
Outstanding Wine Program: No. 9 Park

No. 9 Park
Boston
No. 9 Park is the first restaurant from Boston to take home this award. Wine Director Cat Silirie oversees the wine program.

This is Paul’s first James Beard Award. He grew up working in his family’s restaurant in Toronto, and has always wanted to join a boy band whose members only play cellos.
