Now in its penultimate week, James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® will be continuing its cross-country tour this Friday. Here's a preview of what’s on deck in New York City, one of our two upcoming stops.

 

On Friday, October 11, Taste America All-Star Daniel Patterson will join a superlative crew of New York City chefs (see the full lineup here) at Tom Colicchio's Riverpark, where the group will prepare a multi-course meal that links the worlds of food and art.

 

On Saturday, we'll be at the Hell's Kitchen location of Sur La Table for a day of free cooking demos, local product tastings, and more. Chef Patterson will lead off with a demonstration in Sur La Table’s kitchen, with JBF Award winner Maricel Presilla to follow. Both chefs will also be signing copies of their cookbooks for fans.

 

The James Beard Foundation is proud to donate a portion of New York City proceeds to Wellness in the Schools, a national nonprofit that promotes healthy eating, environmental awareness, and fitness in public schools across the country.
