On the Menu: March 13 through March 19
Here’s what’s happening at the Beard House next week:
Sunday, March 13, 12:00 P.M.
The Tipsy Brunch
Julie Taras Wallach and Tasha Garcia Gibson have charmed New Yorkers with their refined comfort food at neighborhood favorites Little Giant and Tipsy Parson. Famous for their knockout brunches, this dynamic duo will bring their irresistible, Southern-inflected morning menu to the Beard House.
Monday, March 14, 7:00 P.M.
Channeling Charleston
Sean Daly recalls the charm and culture of Charleston at his Cincinnati hot spot, Hugo. With a menu that features Low Country crawfish boils alongside nuanced renditions of shrimp and grits, Hugo is an elegant homage to sophisticated Southern cuisine.
Tuesday, March 15, 7:00 P.M.
Apulian-Inspired San Giuseppe Feast
Marked with sweets and seasonal spring dishes, the annual feast of St. Joseph celebrates the saint who saved Italy from drought and famine. This year our homage will feature Apulia’s seafood-rich cuisine, thanks to talented chef Patti Jackson and owner/wine director Nicola Marzovilla of NYC’s I Trulli.
Wednesday, March 16, 7:00 P.M.
D.C. Power Dining
Dine like D.C.’s movers and shakers do at this talent-studded dinner. Ashok Bajaj, a 2010 JBF Outstanding Restaurateur semi-finalist, has assembled the team of chefs from his renowned Knightsbridge Restaurant Group, a diverse collection of critically acclaimed eateries that have earned a loyal following among Washington’s power set.
Friday, March 18, 7:00 P.M.
Luxury Beach Escape
Shutters on the Beach has been captivating visitors for almost two decades with its intoxicating combination of casual elegance, breathtaking locale, and a see-and-be-seen vibe. But it’s chef Michael Reardon’s Mediterranean-inspired, market-driven, upscale beach fare that keeps discerning diners coming back for more.
