Tuesday, October 12, 7:00 P.M. Artisanal Wine Dinner In a city known for culinary innovation, creative chef Shin Thompson does more than hold his own at Bonsoirée. Heralded as a “genius” in a recent three-star rave from the Chicago Tribune, Thompson is returning to the Beard House with another thrilling menu of his signature French- and Japanese-informed cooking. Thursday, October 14, 6:30 P.M. Beard on Books at Tenement Talks Jane Ziegelman 97 Orchard: An Edible History of Five Immigrant Families in One New York Tenement Join us for a private culinary-themed tour of the Tenement Museum, followed by a reading, discussion, and signing with Jane Ziegelman and JBF Vice President Mitchell Davis. Thursday, October 14, 7:00 P.M. Relais & Châteaux Series: Newport Fall Dinner Located along the ruggedly beautiful New England coastline, Castle Hill Inn & Resort has been attracting luxury-seekers for over a century. Celebrity Chef Tour: Phoenix Host Chef Beau MacMilan Guest Celebrity Chef Bradford Thompson Celebrity Chef Tour events are dinners that benefit the James Beard Foundation, in which JBF Award winners and other celebrity chefs travel to private clubs, resorts, and other exclusive venues across America to prepare dinners and promote the culinary arts. Friday, October 15, 7:00 P.M. Nordic Autumn Table Earlier this year, Marcus Jernmark was charged with reinventing the menu at NYC’s award-winning temple of modern Swedish cuisine, Aquavit. With a focus on seasonality and housemade ingredients like sausages, smoked meats, and cured fish, this young chef is bringing his native cuisine to a new level. Saturday, October 16, 7:00 P.M.
