Friends of James Beard Benefit: Sunday Supper Washington, D.C.

Join us for our second annual Sunday Supper at Union Market, where this year's festivities include the Good Food Awards cocktail reception and an intimate, family-style dinner prepared by eight renowned chefs in the newly re-opened Union Market. This event will benefit the James Beard Foundation and Good Food Awards Merchants Guild.

Modern Mediterranean

Inspired by the delicious simplicity of the dishes served in restaurants in Florence, former Top Chef contestant Fabio Viviani and chef David Blonsky have created a menu of lusty Mediterranean food that has Chicagoans craving another visit to Siena Tavern.

Summer Elegance

Venture to Brooklyn’s fine-dining frontier and you’ll be rewarded with the exhilarating cuisine of Gwynnett St., which led the New York Times to include the property on its list of 2012’s best new restaurants. We’d wager that chef Owen Clark, formerly of wd~50 and Blue Hill, had something to do with that.

Thanks to her masterful melding of Puerto Rican flavors with modern technique, chef Rocío Varela has become a chef to watch. Her talents have brought her to one of Puerto Rico’s most sumptuous resorts, where she now oversees the Jean-Georges Vongerichten–conceived Fern.
