Wednesday, February 20, 12:00 P.M.
Beard on Books: JBF Award Winner Nathalie Dupree and Cynthia Graubart
In their new cookbook, Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking, JBF Award winner Nathalie Dupree and Cynthia Graubart celebrate the “mother cuisine of America,” offering their expert guidance on classic Southern cuisine and traditions. The heartfelt book transports the reader to a simpler time: when comforting, homemade food was an indispensable part of daily life.
Wednesday, February 20, 7:00 P.M.
One of the Southwest’s pioneering chefs, Mark Kiffin was a Santa Fe institution long before he reinvented the Compound, a historic adobe landmark. The sophisticated cuisine at the fine-dining flagship and at his newly opened taco joint reflects the JBF Award winner’s nuanced sensibility and appreciation of the area’s rich culinary heritage.
Thursday, February 21, 7:00 P.M.
Housed in a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified building on the Kean University campus and supplied by its own four-acre farm, Ursino delivers forward-thinking American cooking to discerning New Jerseyans. Its chef, Peter Turso, will make his Beard House debut this month with a sumptuous and comforting winter feast.
Friday, February 22, 7:00 P.M.
Just mention the name Favia, the Napa winery renowned for its limited-batch, artfully crafted vintages, and in-the-know oenophiles will start whispering in hushed, excited tones. Consider this dinner, at which Favia will team up with Oenotri, a beloved Italian eatery in the heart of Napa wine country, an invitation to join the cult.
Saturday, February 23, 7:00 P.M.
For one of the city’s finest modern French dining experiences, Francophiles head to Midtown gem Triomphe at the Iroquois, where chef Jason Tilmann has created a menu of impeccable ingredient-driven dishes. Guests at this dinner will also be treated to hand-crafted cocktails by Theo Lieberman.
