Here's what's on the Beard House calendar this week:

Tuesday, March 18, 7:00 P.M.
La Fiesta di San Giuseppe

Assuming you can’t make it to Sicily, the next-best place to celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph is the Beard House, where we’ll be gathering the day before the beloved Italian holiday for an incredible, seafood-rich dinner prepared by acclaimed Atlanta-area chef Michael Bologna.

Wednesday, March 19, 12:00 noon
Beard on Books
In A Passion for Bread: Lessons from a Master Baker, author Lionel Vatinet shares an encyclopedic knowledge of bread, passed down from a long line of French artisan bakers, with detailed instructions and dozens of step-by-step photographs. Join us when Vatinet (whose career trajectory goes from an apprenticeship in France to the founding instructor at the San Francisco Baking Institute, the coach for the American team at the World Cup of Baking competition, and now the owner of La Farm Bakery in Cary, North Carolina) demystifies the art of bread making. Lionel will be interviewed by Amy Scherber of Amy’s Bread in New York City.

Thursday, March 20, 6:30 P.M.
Friends of James Beard Benefits Dinner: Memphis

Join us in supporting the Scholarship Program at this Friends of James Beard Benefit dinner, to be held at Flight Restaurant & Wine Bar. Along with four other esteemed chefs, host chefs Joshua Perkins and Nick Scott will deliver a delectable spread that celebrates modern cuisine at its finest.

Thursday, March 20, 7:00 P.M.
The Belle Époque
With its sultry, French Quarter–inspired environs and serious cocktail program, Maison Premiere was a welcome addition to Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood when it opened in 2011. And now with Daniel and Blue Hill alum Lisa Giffen watching over the kitchen, the saloon has become one of the borough’s essential dining experiences.

Friday, March 21, 7:00 P.M.
The Charm of the Farm
It’s no wonder the Bachelor Farmer was named one of Bon Appétit’s 2012 Best New Restaurants in America: the stylish, innovative spot serves Scandinavian-inspired cuisine with modern, straightforward panache. Enjoy a gorgeous menu from executive chef Paul Berglund (formerly of Oliveto in Oakland, California) at this exciting Beard House dinner.

Saturday, March 22, 7:00 P.M.
Craving Carolina
One of Business Insider’s up-and-coming Southern chefs and Fortune’s Green Chef of the Year, William Dissen is an uncompromising locavore and champion of Appalachia’s culinary heritage. Join us for his Beard House debut, where he will showcase the best his region has to offer.

Sunday, March 23, 5:00 P.M.
Sunday Supper at Chelsea Market
Set in a historic factory, Manhattan’s Chelsea Market is now home to some of the city's finest epicurean shops and restaurants. For our sixth annual Friends of James Beard Benefit, we've culled a formidable group of chefs to prepare a convivial family-style feast, which will be served in the market’s main hall.

This year's Sunday Supper at Chelsea Market will raise funds to benefit the James Beard Foundation, Wellness in the Schools, and other charitable initiatives of the Jamestown Charitable Foundation.
