The American Table: Rustic and Refined 
JBF Award winner R.J. Cooper treats discerning D.C.-area diners to modernist American cuisine with fanciful 24-course menus at one of his restaurants and an intimate study of Mid-Atlantic farmland at the other. Join us at the Beard House for his elaborate Brandt Beef dégustation and the opportunity to taste both of his lauded concepts under one roof.

Beard on Books: Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen
In her new book, Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen, the longtime editor-in-chief of Food & Wine reveals her deep, dark secret: she couldn’t cook. Thankfully, she had an army of all-star chefs to teach her, and she shares their insights through 100 of her favorite recipes. Featuring advice and stories from April Bloomfield, Tom Colicchio, and more, this book will turn a culinary novice into a kitchen pro.

Cali Spin on St. Joseph's Feast 
For a breezy spin on the traditional St. Joseph’s Day feast, we’ve invited chef Bruce Kalman to bring his SoCal sensibility to this treasured Italian custom. Now heading up Pasadena’s acclaimed Union, Kalman formerly worked under David Burke and JBF Award winner Paul Bartolotta.

Russian River Rendezvous

Norouz: Persian New Year Celebration 
In Persian culture, each new year begins with Norouz, a 13-day holiday celebrating the vernal equinox through gifts and symbolic foods. Join chef Josh Lewin with Katrina Jazayeri and their team for a journey through ancient and modern Persia, inspired by tradition and reinterpreted through French technique. As Lewin says, it’s “not your grandma’s Norouz, but we hope you’ll invite her.”

Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner: Sunday Supper at Chelsea Market, NYC 
Set in a historic factory, Manhattan’s Chelsea Market is now home to some of the city's finest epicurean shops and restaurants. For our seventh annual Friends of James Beard Benefit, we're bringing together a formidable group of chefs to prepare a convivial family-style feast, which will be served in the market’s main hall. Sunday Supper at Chelsea Market, a Friends of James Beard Benefit, raises funds for the James Beard Foundation and The Jamestown Charitable Foundation, both not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations focusing on initiatives for culinary education.
