Dinner with Daniel

Ask a chef or editor to name the best cookbooks of 2013. Chances are Daniel Boulud’s latest title, Daniel: My French Cuisine, will top the list. Part cookbook, part memoir, this impressive tome will serve as the inspiration for an exquisite spring tasting from the celebrated JBF Award winner.

Tuesday, April 1, 10:00 A.M. to Wednesday, April 30, 5:00 P.M.

Greenhouse Gallery

With oil paint, Mike Geno aims to translate and recreate the seductiveness of food through texture, color, and form, focusing his work on the specific beauty of each dish. The works act as homage to another artisan, the chef, and are the result of a shared passion. This show will feature composed dishes from a collection of Philadelphia chefs.

Thursday, April 3, 7:00 P.M.

Coast-to-Coast Cool

Even though they inhabit kitchens on opposite coasts, fellow Food & Wine Best New Chefs Jamie Bissonnette and Jenn Louis are kindred spirits in food: both excel at delivering bold, daring flavors and are passionate locavores. Join us when these friendly virtuosos team up to create a fantastic meal.

Friday, April 4, 7:00 P.M.

Farmstead Feast

The former chef de cuisine of Atlanta’s highly acclaimed Miller Union, chef Justin Burdett is in his element at Ruka’s Table. Set in a serene mountain town, the rustic restaurant delights food lovers with impeccable, Southern-inspired fare that skillfully incorporates traditional farmstead cooking techniques like in-house pickling and cheese making.
