Alpine Haute Cuisine

At Trestle on Tenth, Ralf Kuettel pays homage to his native Switzerland’s eclectic cuisine, where French and German influences intermingle on the menu. For this Beard House dinner, Kuettel takes inspiration from the majestic Alps, exploring the mysterious alchemy of climate and altitude that produces such decadent and delicious fare.

50th Anniversary Celebration

In addition to his horror film mastery, actor Vincent Price was also a true gourmand, co-authoring with his wife A Treasury of Great Recipes, a cookbook/guide to their favorite restaurants. Join us for a celebration of the 50th anniversary edition, as Price’s daughter, Victoria, takes guests on an edible tour of her parents’ gastronomic haunts.

Beard on Books

Could the local food be the secret to the Ikarian people’s fabled longevity? In her latest book, Ikaria: Lessons on Food, Life, and Longevity from the Greek Island Where People Forget to Die, acclaimed cookbook writer and Greek cuisine specialist Diane Kochilas investigates just that. A combination travelogue, photo journal, and cookbook, this tome reveals the intimate stories and traditional recipes of Ikaria, and takes readers on a journey to an island that celebrates life through the joy of the kitchen and the plate.

Wednesday, October 28, 7:00 P.M.

Italian Harvest Celebration

Crisp air, bountiful harvest, incredible wines: there’s nothing like autumn in Italy. Fortunately for us, chef Rhy Waddington of the renowned Winged Foot Golf Club will bring us a taste of Northern Italy’s fall feasts along with exquisite wines from Allegrini Estates winery in the Valpolicella area of Verona.

Thursday, October 29, 7:00 P.M.

East End Land and Sea

When East Hampton’s historic 1770 House began looking for a new chef for its premier year-round dining destination, it couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect candidate than native East Ender and pedigreed toque Michael Rozzi, who will be joining us at the Beard House to create a menu of local delicacies.

Friday, October 30, 7:00 P.M.

Tuscan Essentials

For more than a decade, chefs of Apicius in Florence have made an annual visit to the Beard House to create a uniquely unforgettable Tuscan feast. Join them for this fall’s ode to Tuscan flavors, which will highlight the incredible quality of the region’s salumi, olive oil, produce, and other singular ingredients.
