Enlightened Eaters

The grand dame of food politics is back, and this time she’s taking on the soda industry. In her new book, Soda Politics, JBF Award winner and renowned public health advocate Marion Nestle tackles the kings of carbonation, detailing the myriad ways the soft drink industry has snuck its products into our day-to-day diets, and the steps we can take to become more conscious consumers of what we put in our cups, and in our bodies.

Beef Study: Fresh to Aged

Diners asking “Where’s the beef?” will find the answer at the Beard House when Angie Mar presents her ode to the protein. Mar, of Graydon Carter’s celebrity-studded chophouse, will take guests through a curated tasting of breeds and cuts from across the globe, showcasing beef’s versatility and enduring appeal to carnivores the world over.

San Francisco’s RN74 is named after the route that runs through the Burgundy region of France.
