Summer’s End Farm Feast

At CRāVing in upstate New York, chef Adam Goetz makes the most of every single ingredient. He carefully preserves each season’s harvest, turns milk from a nearby dairy into cheese, makes his own charcuterie, and practices whole-animal butchery to round off his extensive local pantry. Experience the chef’s impeccable farm-inspired fare at this glorious end-of-summer feast.

A Brooklyn Backyard Supper

Join the James Beard Foundation Greens (foodies under 40) for an exclusive under-the-stars, farm-to-table collaboration by the Pines, Star Route Farm, and Savio Soares Selections. Chef John Poiarkoff of the Pines will prepare a delicious dinner in the backyard of his restaurant with produce provided by Star Route Farm in the Catskills, and paired with biodynamic and sustainable wines from Savio Soares’s portfolio.

French-Creole, Modern and Classic

Pair a near-century-old New Orleans institution with chefs trained by JBF Award winners Emeril Lagasse and Donald Link, and you’re guaranteed a gratifying gustatory tour of Big Easy classics. Join us as chefs Nathan Richard and Neal Swidler explore the vast potential of French-Creole cuisine, transforming familiar flavors through high-end techniques.

D.C. Casual Luxury

“Water & Wall, where creative meets delicious,” reads the headline of Tom Sietsema’s glowing Washington Post review of the Arlington restaurant. The credit goes to chef/owner Tim Ma, a Momofuku Ko alum, who will be serving his creative and thoughtful mid-Atlantic cuisine alongside Vintage 59 Imports wines selected by sommelier Neal Wavra.

Venice on a Plate

Vivacious chef-instructor Enrica Rocca has a penchant for simple ingredients, artful plating, and vibrant flavors. With three global locations of her acclaimed cooking school, the author of the recent cookbook, Venice on a Plate, will bring her delectable Venetian cuisine to the Beard House for a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
