Maryland native Spike Gjerde crafts his delectably rustic dishes with an unwavering commitment to the abundance of the Chesapeake landscape that has kept his tables packed with epicureans from Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and beyond.

Cool Chefs Cook

Here's a collaboration you won't want to miss: April Bloomfield and Anita Lo, chefs at some of New York City's most perennially popular and acclaimed restaurants, are teaming up in the Beard House kitchen for a menu that showcases each chef's signature cooking style.

Rare Vintages

The renowned Crystal Springs Resort beckons guests from near and far with its luxurious accommodations, championship golf courses, indulgent spas, and four-star Restaurant Latour. Oenophiles will delight in this enticing menu, designed to pair seamlessly with impeccable wines from the resort’s stunningly curated, Wine Spectator Grand Award–winning wine cellar.

JBF Greens: From Scratch Sessions

Just in time for the return of crisp fall weather, we’re venturing inside the historic Nat Sherman Townhouse, where we will enjoy numerous nips of Scotch whisky and some fine cigars. Compass Box Whisky Co.’s David Bailey and Nat Sherman’s Michael Herklots will lead us through an array of these soulful spirits and smokes at this walk-around event. Delicious Scottish canapes will be provided by Highlands chef Chris Rendell.

The Evolution of Creole Cuisine

Lauded New Orleans restaurateur Dickie Brennan comes from restaurant royalty—the Brennan family owns the beloved Crescent City institutions Commander's Palace and Mr. B's Bistro. He is now the commander of his own empire, which includes his latest venture, Tableau, where he continues the tradition of celebrating the spirit and soul of the city.
