Warm Sheep's Milk Feta with Apricot Tapenade If you can find it, use sheep's milk feta cheese in this unique starter from Israeli chef Erez Komarovsky. Its sweetness provides a strong foil to the puckery tartness of the roasted and dried apricots. It's no secret that we're huge fans of ABC Kitchen. After all, the Jean-Georges Vongerichten–owned eatery took home this year's JBF Award for Best New Restaurant. But while we're always impressed by the eco-conscious and artfully presented dinner offerings, we've lately been swooning over the joyful and clever interpretations of retro American desserts. Awards Watch: Dan Kluger, where were you when…?
Dan Kluger, chef of Best New Restaurant winner ABC Kitchen, told us he had a good feeling that they would be nominated, but had no idea that they would come up big tonight: “We had a good feeling about it. It was a Monday, my day off, so I was home and had decided to try to follow the announcements on Twitter. I started receiving a lot of nice congratulatory emails. We hoped for something like this, but you can never expect it. It’s amazing to be nominated.” Congratulations, Dan! And to all the nominees and winners tonight!Awards Watch: Readers' Choice, Best New Restaurant
To get an early start on the upcoming festivities, we're bringing back our Readers' Choice Awards, in which our audience gets to cast votes for their favorite JBF nominees. It's simple: we set up a snazzy poll and you make your pick.
Our first category is Best New Restaurant. This year's BNR noms are especially impressive, and likely backed by passionate legions of fans on their home turf, so we're expecting this contest to be pretty intense.
So size up the contenders below and vote! We'll close this poll at noon tomorrow, then launch another round in the afternoon.

Note: these results have absolutely no bearing on who will win a bona fide Beard Award. (You can read about the Awards nomination and voting procedure
