For three summers running, chefs nationwide have reimagined the classic American burger via JBF’s Blended Burger Project™, a competition that challenges chefs to blend mushrooms with meat for a more delicious, nutritious, and sustainable meal.

Now, for the first time, we’re bringing the competition to campuses across the country. Coming this fall, our new Blended Burger Project™ Campus Edition will give university and college–based chefs the opportunity to show their stuff in their very own contest. The initiative will also address the demands of students, who are increasingly hungry for more sustainable options in their dining halls.

The competition will operate just like the in-restaurant BBP: students will vote on their favorite burgers right here on the JBF website, then six chefs will win the opportunity to cook at the James Beard House in 2018.

To participate, offer a Blended Burger on your dining hall or campus cafe menu from Labor Day through December 15, 2017. Learn more at jamesbeard.org/bbpcampus
