The USA Pavilion at Expo Milano

Expo Milano, the first-ever food-focused world's fair that's now open in Milan, is one of the planet's hottest tickets this year. At the USA Pavilion, which was produced by the James Beard Foundation and the International Culinary Center, award-winning chefs, top policy makers, and influential thought leaders swing through on a daily basis to present dining events and thought-provoking panels and demos. (Nancy Pelosi was one of the more recent bigwigs to visit the state-of-the-art site.)

At the recent American Chefs Rally, where U.S. chefs gathered at the pavilion for a series of exclusive events and tours of nearby artisan food producers, food and tourism experts sat on a panel to discuss how American cities are increasingly being marketed as culinary destinations. Head over the to the USA Pavilion blog to read more about the future of culinary tourism.

Meanwhile, Ken Frank, Michael Cimarusti, Edward Lee, and Cristeta Comerford are all on deck at the James Beard American Restaurant, which is modeled after our own James Beard House in New York City. You can view the complete guest-chef schedule to see who's manning the stoves throughout Expo's run.

The USA Pavilion, themed "American Food 2.0," and Expo Milano are open through October.
