London-based author and architect Carolyn Steel, known for using food as a medium to "read" cities and understand how they work, joined us at our recent JBF Food Conference to talk about appetite and the underlying issues within our urban ecosystem. Watch the video above to see Carolyn's riveting presentation. Afterwards, she moderated a panel on building America's urban appetite with Krishnendu Ray of New York University's Department of Nutrition, Food Studies and Public Health; Lonni Tanner of New York City's Department of Design and Construction; and Karen Washington of Black Urban Growers.
