Guests in the backyard of the James Beard House

Here's what's on deck at the Beard House:

Monday, February 4, 7:00 P.M.

Dreaming of Mexico

When Alex Stupak and his team opened Empellón Taqueria in NYC’s West Village, it was such an instant hit that they had to launch the more complex Empellón Cocina on the East Side. Now both restaurants are lauded among the city’s discerning diners for their vibrant, seductive interpretations of authentic Mexican flavors.

Tuesday, February 5, 7:00 P.M.

The Art of the Chef

Bostonians know that the Museum of Fine Arts offers more than just a world-renowned collection—the stately on-site restaurants attract epicureans as well as art lovers. Join us at the Beard House when chef Tim Partridge crafts an exquisite seasonal menu sure to rival the museum’s own masterpieces.

Wednesday, February 6, 7:00 P.M.

Bourbon-Inspired Southern Feast

Set in a charming Victorian mansion in the heart of Charleston, Poogan’s Porch is one of the city’s most beloved eateries. For their Beard House encore, Daniel Doyle and wine director Brad Ball will take their refined Low Country cuisine to new heights with an homage to another Southern institution: bourbon.

Thursday, February 7, 7:00 P.M.

Nantucket Seascape

Few summer pleasures are lovelier than a seaside meal of raw oysters and a glass of crisp, chilled wine. At Nantucket’s Cru, you can indulge in this ritual all year long. Executive chef Erin Zircher, a French-trained alum of Oleana and the Boarding House, oversees a Mediterranean-inflected menu at this striking oceanfront oyster bar.

Friday, February 8, 7:00 P.M.

Farmland Feast

This special Beard House dinner started brewing months ago, when Victory Brewing Company’s Bill Covaleski and chef Patrick Feury began collaborating on an exclusive beer to serve at the event. Covaleski will also present wine and beer pairings expertly selected for Feury’s exquisite, farm-focused French cuisine.
