Andrew Zimmern will be the guest of honor at the James Beard Foundation's Chefs & Champagne this summer

Here's what's on deck at the James Beard Foundation:

Monday, July 15, 7:00 P.M.

Bastille Day Fête

Husband-and-wife chefs Christophe and Michelle Poteaux have helped revolutionize Alexandria’s restaurant scene at Bastille, their charming upscale bistro. The acclaimed duo—who also teamed up at Jean Louis at the Watergate and Acquarelle in D.C.—will present their modern, intensely seasonal French cuisine at our annual Bastille Day celebration.

Tuesday, July 16, 7:00 P.M.

Southern-Inspired Italian Feast

“One of Louisville’s elite spots,” writes restaurant critic Marty Rosen of the Courier-Journal, Volare is “a bastion of rigorous continental techniques and artful presentation.” The credit goes to innovative chef Josh Moore, who will be presenting a profoundly summery, locally sourced menu of his creative Italian cuisine.

Wednesday, July 17, 7:00 P.M.

Sunshine State Bounty

In-the-know travelers to upscale Singer Island know just where to find the best local cuisine: at the Palm Beach Marriott’s 3800 Ocean, where Larry LaValley and his team delight visitors and locals alike with their fresh and inventive takes on Floridian fare.

Thursday, July 18, 7:00 P.M.

Summertime Beef Bash

Sharpen your steak knives, carnivores: this summer we’re presenting the ultimate beef lovers’ celebration at the Beard House. Better still, we’ve enlisted Preston Clark, a San Francisco Chronicle Rising Star chef and protégé of Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Charlie Trotter, to prepare it.

Saturday, July 20, 6:00 P.M.

Chefs & Champagne® New York

We’re breaking out the Champagne flutes and popping the corks for our annual star-studded summer tasting party in the Hamptons. Join us when we honor Andrew Zimmern, winner of the 2013 JBF Award for Outstanding Personality/Host and host of the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods.
