Philly Favorite
After coming up the ranks at Per Se and Jean Georges, Greg Vernick struck out on his own with Vernick Food & Drink, now lauded as one of the hottest restaurants in Philadelphia. For his Beard House reprise, the talented chef will pair his buzzed-about fare with a unique selection of small- production, biodynamic wines.​

Belgian Farmhouse Style
To celebrate his heritage, acclaimed D.C. chef Frederik de Pue has designed a rustic, Belgian-inflected menu for his Beard House dinner. At Table, named one of America’s 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appétit in 2013, and at the recently opened Menu MBK, de Pue demonstrates an eye for detail and a seasoned European sensibility.​

Beard on Books: Repast: Dining Out at the Dawn of the New American Century, 1900–1910
Before celebrity chefs and the Food Network, before even Julia Child picked up an apron, America was dining out and nurturing its own national cuisine. In Repast: Dining Out at the Dawn of the New American Century, 1900-1910, Michael Lesy and Lisa Stoffer take you on a tour of American dining’s earliest days, from the slaughterhouse to the Waldorf-Astoria. Featuring fascinating menu reproductions from this era, this book explores the unexpected connections between the food culture of the early twentieth century and the present.

Join the James Beard Foundation Greens (foodies under 40) for an exclusive dinner showcasing the eclectic coastal cuisine of Mexico at restaurateurs Richard Sandoval and Placido Domingo's critically acclaimed restaurant Pampano. Chef Lucero Martinez will prepare a delicious multi-course menu to be expertly paired with Latin wines.​

Eating Stories: Montreal to New Delhi 
Poutine and duck confit in New Delhi? Montreal-born chef Nira Kehar uses the rich culinary traditions of her native city, her rigorous training in French techniques, and the flavorful heritage of her adopted home to create deliciously unique memories at her elegant New Delhi brasserie. For her Beard House debut, Kehar’s menu will reflect her personal and culinary journey between these two vibrant cities.
