Modern Danish

Modern Danish cuisine comes to the Big Apple when husband-and-wife team Anna and David Posey of beloved Chicago eatery Elske take over the Beard House with a special tasting of their signature cooking. Their contemporary takes have earned Elske one Michelin Star in 2017, the number two spot in Bon Appétit’s Best New Restaurant 2017, and most recently, a 2018 James Beard Award nomination.

Come meet the powerhouse team of women behind Jams, the swanky revamp of JBF Award winner Jonathan Waxman’s temple to California cuisine located in the modern 1 Hotel Central Park. Known for its contemporary American cooking and seasonal ethos, this new iteration is helmed by Heather Miller and Ginger Pierce, two dynamite chefs who are introducing a whole new generation of diners to its vibrant, vegetable-driven dishes.

The League of Kitchens Presents: Uzbeki Cuisine

For the second dinner in our collaborative series with the League of Kitchens, we’re transporting guests to Uzbekistan for a celebratory halal feast exploring the country’s fragrant and eclectic cuisine. Chef/instructor Damira Inatullaeva will bring a taste of LoK’s signature workshops, imbuing the Beard House kitchen with the same openness and intimacy she offers when teaching classes in her own home.
