Love prosecco and Italian folklore? Then we've got the cocktail for you: the negroni sbagliato from the 2017 James Beard Award–nominated Spritz. The “buoyant little cousin” of the negroni, this effervescent drink has quite the backstory. In the early 1970s, at one of Milan’s most celebrated establishments, Bar Basso, beloved barman Mirko Stocchetto was whipping up a negroni when he “accidentally” swapped prosecco for gin. The end result? This seriously refreshing, bubbly negroni riff (note: the name is perfetto because sbagliato means “mistaken” or “incorrect” in Italian). Get the recipe.
