In May 2021, we launched the Beard House Fellows program presented by Capital One, which re-envisions the potential of this historic space into a hub of training and professional development for talented emerging chefs. Each Fellow will have a one-month residence at the Beard House where JBF will provide hard skills training along with the opportunity to develop a meal kit in collaboration with Great Performances that will be available across the country.

Our June Fellow, Mimi Chen, has curated a custom Beard Box that includes ingredients and instructions to create a delicious dinner for two along with gifts from our partners. Guests who reserve their meal kits will also have the opportunity to “meet” Mimi through a virtual event, where she will demonstrate how to prepare her dish and discuss the inspiration behind her menu. Hue Society Founder, Tahiirah Habibi, will also be on-hand to provide expert wine pairing tips.

Mimi Chen’s Beard Box will be on sale Monday, June 14 at 9:00 A.M. EST through Wednesday June 16 at 11:59 P.M. ET. 
Meal Kits serve two (2) guests, and will be delivered on June 22.  The virtual event will take place on Wednesday, June 23 at 6:30 P.M. ET.

+ Please note that due to the nature of this event, we are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions at this stage. We appreciate your understanding and support of this policy.

You can purchase the pairings from our partner wine shop, Happy Cork in Brooklyn, either in person or they can be shipped to select states (noted on their site). You can also purchase the wines at your local independent wine shop.

Some heating or finishing will be required; instructions will be provided. Refrigeration recommended.
