Join us for an unforgettable evening at The Nines Hotel hosted by Gregory Gourdet and Departure Restaurant + Lounge! Start your evening with an incredible cocktail party featuring custom cocktails, wine, and gourmet experiences specially prepared by four local culinary legends. Then, sit down for a once-in-a-lifetime, 12-course dinner crafted by 13 of Portland’s most celebrated chefs. This team of outstanding chefs is comprised of 11 James Beard Award wins, three Beard Award nominees and three semi-finalists. Each course will be paired with an amazing libation.

ROOTS is a celebration of Portland’s food and beverage community, Pacific Northwest bounty and the legacy of Oregonian James Beard. Proceeds from the evening will directly support James Beard Foundation Impact Programs, giving chefs tools to become champions of food policies; and The Farmers Market fund, allowing underserved members of our local community access to fresh market produce.
