Through his mastery of classic French cuisine and series of acclaimed restaurants, Christian Delouvrier has nurtured countless promising cooks into accomplished chefs. Join friends and protégés as they toast their mentor’s illustrious career through fabulous food and outstanding wines.

Beard on Books​

Marilynn and Sheila Brass are known for their devotion to America’s culinary past, scouring old cookbooks and handwritten recipes to ensure that our nation’s home-baked favorites survive for the next generation. In their latest tome, Baking with the Brass Sisters, the duo has compiled recipes that traveled alongside incoming immigrants, as well as favorites that sprouted out of Yankee soil. Featuring the sisters’ approachable style and illustrative oral histories of the recipes, readers will delight in the heritage and the flavors of what comes out of the oven.

JBF Greens: Jazz at Lincoln Center

The James Beard Foundation Greens (foodies under 40) is joining forces with Jazz at Lincoln Center’s own under-40 group, Hang Set, for a spectacular evening of delicious food, stunning views, and great music. The night begins with a reception featuring fine wines, bites from some of New York's hottest chefs and Les Trois Petits Cochons, and drinks from Stella Artois, Ribera del Duero and Reuda, and the Macallan. Guests will then enjoy a concert, Jazz in the Key of Life, featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis.

Hamptons Chic

Tucked away in a quaint Hamptons hamlet, the stately Topping Rose House offers guests unparalleled luxury and a world-class dining program. For this Beard House dinner, guests will sample chef Ryan Murphy’s elegant East End fare, with an added twist from his European training and pedigree.

Saturday, January 16, 7:00 P.M.

Lowcountry Meets New Orleans

After stints at acclaimed Big Easy spots, Ryan Hughes opened Purloo as an exhibition kitchen and restaurant in the city’s Southern Food and Beverage Museum. Known for his rotating menus highlighting regional classics, Hughes will give Beard House diners a fried, pickled, and flavor-packed glimpse into his love affair with the Lowcountry.
