Jonathan Gushue

Fogo Island Inn, Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada

Just offshore of Newfoundland, on very the fringe of North America, lies remote Fogo Island, the rocky, salt-sprayed home to Fogo Island Inn. The brainchild of social entrepreneur (and Fogo Island native) Zita Cobb, the Inn has become a luxurious destination (think: Relais & Châteaux–pedigreed chef Jonathan Gushue’s unforgettable take on local fare) with a mission to preserve and economically bolster a historic population.

Dinner attendees have the opportunity to claim free admission to an associated event the following night at The New School. Cobb, Gushue, and journalist Gabriella Gershenson will join a conversation moderated by the James Beard Foundation's Mitchell Davis about this important economic development project. Guests will be contacted about how to register. For more information about the event click here.
