Alumnae of the Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Program are invited to attend the James Beard Foundation’s first-ever Summit to connect, gather, learn, and inspire.

The Summit will provide executive learning to build and scale women-owned hospitality businesses, foster a network, and inspire a community of women leaders to think big and use their power to change the industry.

Sunday, April 10th 
Arrive in D.C. and Check-in to Courtyard by Marriott Washington D.C./U.S. Capitol 
5:00-7:00 P.M. Welcome Reception at the hotel [Courtyard Washington D.C/U.S. Capitol]
7:30 P.M. WEL Gathering at Last Call
Get a good night sleep and stay hydrated as we will begin check-in and programming at 8AM sharp! 

Monday, April 11th
8:00 A.M. Check-in begins at AutoShop*
8:30 A.M. Programming Begins
5:30 P.M. Programming Concludes
Break: during this time guests will be asked to exit the venue while we transform for a night of fun
7:00 P.M. Cocktail Reception and Dinner at Autoshop

 

*Guest should plan to arrive by 8:00 A.M. at the front entrance of AutoShop at Union Market located on Morse Street NE between Fourth and Fifth St NE. The check-in desk will be located at the top of the stairs on the second floor upon entry.

 

COVID-19 Protocols:

For the safety of all guests, we ask attendees to present a NEGATIVE COVID-19 test (rapid or PCR) prior to arrival in DC. Guests are expected to gain access to their own COVID-19 test 24-48 hours in advance of your arrival to Washington DC — there will NOT be COVID-19 tests offered on-site. Guest should expect to submit their testing results on SATURDAY APRIL 9th if they plan to attend the Welcome Reception and SUNDAY APRIL 10th if they are only attending the Summit Events via an online portal. Submit your negative COVID-19 Test result via the Eventest portal [regardless of vaccination status].

For alumnae who live outside of D.C. and have requested a hotel room through the RSVP form.

Valet parking is available upon check-in. 

*The Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol is a short 8-minute walk to AutoShop at Union Market. Public parking is available around the venue but is very limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended to walk or use share ride services.
