How to Spice Up Your Perfect Fall Cocktail

Hilary Deutsch

September 22, 2016

While we love classic cocktails, we’re no stranger to spicing things up every now and then—literally. Take blogger, photographer, and author Heidi Swanson’s spin on the gin and tonic: this special sipper, from Swanson's 2016 Beard Award–winning cookbook Near & Far, has the requisite spirit, bubbles, and citrus, but that’s where it sheds its traditional guise. Swanson infuses the gin with torn dill leaves and hand-crushed dried coriander and fennel seeds, yielding an aromatic riff on the perennial favorite with delicate herbal notes. Get the recipe.
