In 2024, the beloved YouTube channel Made With Lau received a double dose of accolades when they scored two James Beard Media Awards for Instructional Visual Media and Emerging Voice. The brainchild of Randy Lau, Made With Lau shines a spotlight on the Lau family’s cherished dishes and provides a living repository of recipes while sharing stories, life-lessons, and Chinese culture.
Recipe videos feature Randy’s father, the charming and talented “Daddy Lau” a.k.a. Chung Sun, a former Chinese restaurant owner, who wows viewers with his adept culinary skills, deep knowledge, and delectable fare. In anticipation of Lunar New Year please join the Made With Lau family for an epic feast presented by Capital One to ring in the Year of the Snake!

Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
