Escape to Ore Hill, an intimate, seasonally driven restaurant set in a beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse in idyllic Litchfield County. The focus is modern farm-to-table, utilizing lush produce, dairy, and meat from their 1,000-acre estate, once the country home of philanthropist Anne Bass. Culinary director and multiple James Beard Award semifinalist® Tyler Anderson oversees both Ore Hill’s fine-dining kitchen upstairs, as well as casual tavern Swyft below. Our host and executive chef Ryan Carbone will present a special tasting menu reflecting the summer bounty of southwestern Connecticut.
Reflections of a Summer in Kent at Ore Hill is part of the Friends of James Beard Benefit series; events hosted by generous people, businesses, and organizations outside of JBF that provide critical funding for our programs. Each event supports our mission to champion a standard of Good Food for Good® anchored in talent, equity, and sustainability.
