Miami’s Premier Omakase Restaurant Kicks Off Platform’s Newest Dinner Series
It has been said that dining at Ogawa, Miami's most celebrated omakase restaurant, is like entering a portal to Japan. On this special evening in New York, a select group of diners will access that passageway at Platform by the James Beard Foundation with a transportive and utterly unforgettable omakase opportunity. Rooted in the Japanese phrase meaning “I leave it up to you,” omakase entrusts the chef to craft a meticulous multi-course tasting menu designed with precision and intention.
Conceptualized by art dealer and restaurateur Alvaro Perez Miranda, Ogawa features an intimate omakase menu crafted by master sushi chef Masayuki Komatsu. Impeccable sourcing is of the utmost importance, with the finest ingredients shipped daily directly from Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture and Tokyo's Toyosu fish market. The same exacting attention to detail is paid to the beverage program, which guests will experience through spectacular cocktails, including Ogawa’s signature Japanese highballs.
With only two seatings available, limited to 11 chef’s counter seats at each, the extraordinary evening will kick off with a private reception followed by an exceptional omakase experience infused with Ogawa's signature hospitality and commitment to three guiding principles: omotenashi (mindful hospitality), komakai (fine attention to detail), and sensai (sensitivity).

Reservation Policy:
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Terms
Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
