As costs continue to rise across the food system—from the farm to the restaurant kitchen—farmers, ranchers, and chefs are facing many of the same pressures. At the same time, consumers increasingly expect food that is produced responsibly and sustainably.

Federal conservation programs help farmers adopt practices that reduce input costs, protect soil and water, and strengthen the long-term resilience of American agriculture. These programs are a critical bridge between the people who grow our food and the people who cook and serve it.

Join The James Beard Foundation and Invest In Our Land on Tuesday, March 31st in Sioux Falls for a convening with chefs, farmers, lawmakers, media, and community leaders to discuss how these programs support a more stable and sustainable food system—and why protecting them matters now.

Please feel free to invite chefs in your network, team members, and your local farmers and producers. Light fare will be served.

This event is part of the Climate Solutions for Restaurant Survival campaign, which is dedicated to tackling the significant impact of climate change on independent restaurants, chefs, and the local economies they support.

Please note that this session will not be live streamed or recorded, but we will be hosting more regional events this year.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you soon! And thank you for lending your voice to advancing solutions for climate and community resilience.

Thank you,
Dr. Anne E. McBride, James Beard Foundation
