Got a question about Platform by JBF? We've got answers! If you don't see your question below, email us at platformbyjbf@jamesbeard.org. We look forward to welcoming you!

Platform by JBF is the James Beard Foundation’s innovative culinary stage located at Market 57 in Pier 57 in New York City. This state-of-the-art show kitchen and event space brings JBF’s guiding principle Good Food for Good® to life through chef-driven dinners, interactive demos, hands-on classes, and inspiring panel conversations. With a rotating lineup of acclaimed and emerging chefs from across the country, every event offers a fresh and intimate experience while supporting the James Beard Foundation's mission to lead chefs and the broader culinary industry towards a new standard of excellence.

We’re located at 25 11th Avenue in Hudson River Park—right on the waterfront between Little Island and Chelsea Piers. When you arrive at Pier 57, head to the South Entrance (between City Winery and Google). Walk down the hallway following signs for Market 57, enter through the double glass doors, and continue straight through the market. Look for the Platform signage just past the show kitchen—the entrance to the dining room is located in the vestibule near the host stand.

By Subway: Take the A, C, E, or L train to 14th Street (8th Ave) and walk west toward the West Side Highway.
By Bus: Hop on the M11, M14, or M20 and head toward 14th Street. From there, it’s a short walk west to 11th Avenue and 15th Street.

Yes! Paid parking is available in the garage located beneath Pier 57. The entrance is at 29 11th Avenue (between 15th and 16th Streets). The garage is open 7 A.M. to 11 P.M. on weekdays and 8 A.M. to midnight on weekends. For convenience, reserve a spot ahead of time at MPG Parking.

Every Platform event is a one-of-a-kind experience. Expect a thoughtfully prepared multi-course menu by acclaimed James Beard Foundation–affiliated chefs, beautifully paired with beverages. Some events may also include interactive elements such as culinary demos, hands-on classes, or thought-provoking panel discussions. Class sizes and formats vary, but the experience is always intimate and immersive.

It depends on the event! Whether it’s a dinner, class, or seminar, each experience is built around generous hospitality. Full meals are served at seated dining events, and sample tastings are provided at demos and classes.

Most Platform events are 21+ due to alcoholic beverage service, but we occasionally offer family-friendly programming geared toward our younger JBF food enthusiasts, so keep an eye on our calendar!

We recommend smart casual attire to complement Platform’s atmosphere.

Pricing varies by event type and seating selection. Details are listed on each event page.

Your ticket includes all food, alcoholic beverages, and gratuity all in one. No surprises, just great hospitality!

Our events feature specially curated, one-night-only menus and do not offer à la carte service. If you have severe allergies, we’ll do our best to coordinate with the visiting chef. However, substitutions are not guaranteed and are ultimately at the chef’s discretion. We are unable to accommodate restrictions for other programming such as demos, classes, and seminars.

For most dining events we offer three tiers:

  • Internal Chef Counter – Premium seating inside the dining room, offering front-row access to the chefs in action.

  • External Chef Counter – Located just outside the dining room within the Market 57 food hall, this seating offers a view into the kitchen. This seating offers a slightly different ambiance while enjoying the same menu.

  • Communal Dining Tables – Shared tables in the dining room where guests can connect with fellow food lovers in a vibrant, community-driven setting.

Unlock codes are reserved for JBF Patron members, chef-invited guests, and internal Foundation use. These are not publicly available.

Due to spatial constraints in Platform, we’re unable to add additional seats to the chef’s counter.

We would be more than happy to assist in transferring your tickets. Let us know the name, email address of your friend(s), and if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Our ticketing platform, SquadUp, will send an email to allow them to accept the ticket(s).

All tickets are non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, you’ll be offered options including ticket exchanges or donating to the James Beard Foundation. For questions, email us at platformbyjbf@jamesbeard.org.

We kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing outside food or beverages. Each event at Platform is thoughtfully curated by our visiting chefs and beverage partners who craft a menu and pairings designed to complement every course and enhance your overall experience. We promise you’ll be in great hands!
