Mitchell Davis to Depart the James Beard Foundation After 27 Years

The James Beard Foundation is successful because of our dedicated team, some of whom have been with the Foundation for decades. We share a vision and mission: to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America's food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone. One such person is Mitchell Davis, a Foundation leader who has worn many hats throughout his 27-year tenure here, who has decided to depart at the end of this month for new ventures.

Mitchell has traveled the world representing the Beard Foundation team and has become a pillar of the broader food and restaurant community. He is a friend to chefs, a mentor to food scholars, a connector for industry advocates, and someone who truly believes in good food, for good. As his long chapter with the Foundation ends, we send a big heartfelt thanks for his dedication and service to not only the Foundation, but the industry, for the past 27 years.
