White Satin

Method

With equal parts gin and grapefruit juice, this cocktail recipe from James Beard’s 1940-era Hors d’Oeuvre and Canapés scales easily to serve a party of one or 100. Beard described it as “a great Prohibition cocktail.”

½ gin
½ fresh grapefruit juice

Shake well with plenty of ice and strain into glasses.
