Celebrating the U.S. Release of the Café Cùil Cookbook

Join us for a festive Tartan Week brunch celebrating the U.S. release of chef Clare Coghill’s debut book, Café Cùil Cookbook, which showcases the recipes that made Café Cùil a London brunch favorite. The Isle of Skye–born chef, whose family ran a hotel on the island for more than a century, brings the flavors of the Highlands and Hebrides to the table with cooking that is generous, hearty, and full of character.

Coghill will share dishes inspired by the book, with plates like Highland shakshuka, venison steak and eggs, tattie scone stacks, and Cùil beans with veggie haggis. Scottish island spirits, from whisky to gin, will round out the morning in a spirited send-off to Tartan Week.

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
