A Puerto Rican–Inspired Collaboration Celebrating the Launch of Spanglish
Chef, host, and cookbook author Monti Carlo joins forces with beverage expert L.P. O’Brien for a vibrant collaboration dinner celebrating the release of Carlo’s debut cookbook, Spanglish.
Carlo, a proud Puerto Rican voice in food media, is a two-time Telly Award–winning personality, TV host, and senior editor of Food and Dining at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, whose new book is a love letter to bicultural cooking and Puerto Rican identity. She’ll partner with LP O’Brien—Afro-Puerto Rican mixology trailblazer, beverage innovator, and inaugural winner of Netflix’s Drink Masters—renowned for her expertise in crafting exceptional beverages and pushing the boundaries of modern cocktail culture.
Copies of Spanglish are available for purchase with tickets or at the event from our friends at Kitchen Arts & Letters.
This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.

Reservation Policy:
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Terms
Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
