Get ready for the ultimate South American collaboration. Colombia and Argentina are the teams to watch, and for one night only, the rivalry will take place in the kitchen. Join Colombian chef Felipe Donnelly of Fort Greene’s James Beard Award nominee® Colonia Verde and Argentine chef Fernando Navas of the Lower East Side’s Balvanera, a celebrated Argentine brasserie lauded by Eater and The New Yorker.
This special multi-course collaboration captures the competitive energy of a classic South American match-up, translated into a menu of exceptional Latin American cuisine spanning traditional regional specialties, robust beef dishes central to both cultures, signature sauces like chimichurri, and iconic South American wines. Join us during the World Cup semifinals for this electric, multi-course culinary showdown of these heated futbol rivals.
This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
