A Culinary Collaboration Between James Beard Award Semifinalist® Chef Ed Szymanski and Michelin-Recognized Chef Sam Lawrence
Our World Cup series continues with a culinary face-off between two chef-friends: beloved Brit chef Ed Szymanski and Aussie Sam Lawrence.
Chef/co-owner Szymanski has brought his modern English cooking to the forefront of NYC dining with his popular West Village spots, including Lord’s, Dame, and Crevette. A James Beard Award semifinalist® for Best Chef: New York State, Szymanski has earned recognition from The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Esquire, and the Michelin Guide. Lawrence is the executive chef of downtown hot spot Bridges, which received a coveted Michelin star and a glowing two-star New York Times review with the headline “This Manhattan Restaurant Is Even Better Than Its Buzz.” Lucky diners will experience a collaborative menu blending the cuisines that shaped these acclaimed chefs, all in the spirit of friendly culinary competition.
This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.

Event Policy
Reservation Policy:
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Terms
Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
