Getting a table at Charleston’s Chubby Fish—a 2026 James Beard Award semifinalist® for Outstanding Restaurant—requires strategy and patience to navigate the daily lines for a shot at one of just 40 seats. Don’t miss this rare chance to reserve your place at this nationally acclaimed restaurant as James Beard Award nominee® chef James London brings a taste of the Lowcountry to New York City.

A Charleston native, London began cooking at age 14 and went on to train in New York before leading kitchens across the country and returning to his hometown. For this sensational seafood dinner, the menu will showcase London’s inventive approach to seafood, including a vibrant raw bar, oysters, whole fish preparations, and composed dishes.

Beyond its James Beard Award recognition, Chubby Fish has earned widespread national attention, including a spot on The New York Times’ “50 Best Restaurants in America” list in 2025 and landing at number 19 on the “North America’s 50 Best Restaurants” 2025 list.

This one-night-only dinner will feature a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvre upon arrival, an expertly crafted multi-course menu with thoughtfully curated wine or beverage pairings, and a Q&A with the featured chefs.

Event Policy

Reservation Policy:

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Events at Platform by JBF are special one-night-only menus and we do not offer a la carte menus. If you have serious food allergies, we will work with the visiting chef team to do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee that alternate options will be available for every course.

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
