Experience an intimate omakase at the Platform Chef’s Counter with multiple-time James Beard Award semifinalist® chef David Utterback, the Nebraska-based talent behind Omaha’s Yoshitomo, Koji, and the six-seat sushi counter Ota. Widely credited with reshaping how Americans think about sushi, chef Utterback has earned national acclaim, with The Washington Post even suggesting that one of the country’s best sushi restaurants is tucked away in Omaha.
Blending Japanese precision with a distinctly Midwestern perspective, chef Utterback will present a multi-course tasting that honors tradition while expressing a true sense of place. This chef’s counter dinner offers a rare opportunity to experience his genre-bending approach to sushi up close.
Dietary Restrictions: Due to the nature of the tasting menu and specialty ingredients in each course, dietary accommodations cannot be made for this experience.

Reservation Policy:
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education, and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are included in the ticket price. Gratuity, taxes, and fees are included in the ticket price.
