Festive Island Flavors Created by Top Chef winner Tristen Epps-Long and Chef Osei “Picky” Blackett
James Beard Award nominee® and Top Chef winner Tristen Epps-Long joins globe-trotting Trinidadian chef Osei “Picky” Blackett for a dinner celebrating the flavors, traditions, and inviting spirit of the islands.
Chef Blackett, known for his modern Caribbean cooking and sell-out James Beard event, Oxtails and Cocktails, teams up with chef Epps-Long, celebrated for championing Black diaspora foodways and chef/owner of the highly anticipated Houston restaurant Buboy. Together, this dynamic duo of chef-friends will create a multi-course menu inspired by childhood dishes and family tables, all suffused with the warmth and generosity innate to island hospitality.

Event Policy
Reservation Policy:
All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund. Terms
Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
