James Beard Foundation's Taste America® Phoenix

It's time for a look at this weekend's other James Beard Foundation’s Taste America® city: Phoenix!

On Friday, October 18, we're heading to the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa for "Best Chefs: Southwest", a multi-course dinner prepared by local James Beard Award winners and Taste America All-Star Suzanne Goin (full lineup is here). This very special evening will also include a silent auction and the announcement of the winners of the Sous Chef for a Day competition 

On Saturday, we'll be at the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall location of Sur La Table for a day of free cooking demos and local product tastings. Chef Goin will lead off with a demonstration in Sur La Table’s kitchen, with a demo by JBF Award winner and Check, Please! Arizona host Robert McGrath to follow.

The James Beard Foundation is proud to donate a portion of Phoenix proceeds to the Careers through Culinary arts Program, a national program that prepares underserved high school students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
