Here’s a taste of what’s on tap today at the Beard House.

 

Foraged Mushroom Feast, 7:00 P.M.

Fungi fanatics will flip for this dinner when 2015 JBF Award semifinalist and Bethlehem native Lee Chizmar gathers the foraged wealth of the Lehigh Valley for a special dégustation. This meal will celebrate the mushroom’s versatility, grounded in the innovative cuisine that’s made Chizmar a local legend, with earthy plates like Mushroom Tartare with Capers, Truffle Aïoli, and Quail Egg on Potato Blini; Mushroom Deep-Dish Pizzas with Porcini Purée, Keepsake Farm Raw Milk Mozzarella, Caramelized Onions, and Herbs; and Cast Iron–Seared Halibut with Mushroom Bouillabaisse, Bolete Mushroom Sausage, Snails, Potatoes, Baby Fennel, and Asparagus
