Chefs Connect: Omicron Challenges
This winter is once again proving devastating for the industry, with no sign of federal support in sight. How are you navigating the challenges posed by Omicron? How is your team holding up? What is helping you stay open? Join our Chefs Connect calls to have conversations with industry professionals across the country, and so we can learn how to best support you—there is no guest speaker, only chefs talking to chefs. Join one, join all three.

Our Fellow, Jacqueline Tris, has curated a custom Beard Box that includes ingredients and instructions to create a delicious dinner for two along with gifts from our partners. Guests who reserve their meal kits will also have the opportunity to “meet” Jacqueline through a virtual event, where she will demonstrate how to prepare her dishes and discuss the inspiration behind her menu. Hue Society Founder, Tahiirah Habibi, will also be on-hand to provide expert wine pairing tips.

Black to the Future
In celebration of Black History Month, you are invited to attend Black to the Future, a discussion on the importance of preserving and securing Black foodways---from land justice and policy to food sovereignty. Joined by farmers, policy experts, and past JBF Leadership Awards winners, we will dig into questions that include How can chefs, diners, purveyors, and others support Black farming--and why that should be essential to anyone seeking a more sustainable food system? What does the future of Black foodways look like, and how do we get there? From local to national, what does food sovereignty entail?
