Every year children flock to the Sylvia Center at Katchkie Farm in upstate New York to learn firsthand about where food comes from. Now Liz Neumark has collected these lessons and recipes in Sylvia’s Table, a deliciously unique cookbook that brings the farm to your kitchen table. Featuring recipes from chefs like Michael Romano and Jonathan Waxman, culinary experts including Food & Wine’s Dana Cowin, cookbook author Sara Moulton, and many others, this is a family cookbook guaranteed to be loved by cooks of all ages.
Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
BEARD ON BOOKS is an ongoing monthly literary series featuring readings and discussions with some of the food world’s most celebrated authors. Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino waters, Lavazza Coffee, tea from Tea Forté, and Valrhona Chocolate will be served. Refreshments will be provided by Sarabeth's. Guests are also welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch. Suggested donation $20. Free admission for students.
