Join us as chefs Chris Scott, Omar Tate, and Kurt Evans craft a memorable evening of stories and hearty fare in the tradition of West African griot storytellers. You won’t soon forget this celebration of African-American culture as the chefs use their dishes—and passion for storytelling—to share history, tradition, and their personal experiences growing up in Philadelphia.
Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
