Modern Korean with a French Twist Chef Hooni Kim worked in some of NYC’s top-rated kitchens, including Daniel and Masa, before earning raves for his own 36-seat French-inspired Korean restaurant in Midtown. Beard on Books: Dana Polan In his book, Julia Child's The French Chef, NYU Professor of Cinema Studies Dana Polan explores the unprecedented success of Julia Child's renowned cooking show, and considers how and why it had such a groundbreaking effect on American cooking, television, and culture.
