After stints under JBF Award winners Traci des Jardins and Daniel Patterson, and nearly a decade at Boston’s venerable Harvest, Mary Dumont struck out on her own with the elegant Cultivar. There she serves up hyper-seasonal fare straight from the restaurant’s hydroponic gardens, delighting locals and tourists alike, and earning Eater: Boston’s 2017 Chef of the Year award.
