Join JBF Greens at Elske in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago for taste of New American cuisine with Danish influences.
Chef/owners, and James Beard Award nominees, Anna and David Posey opened the restaurant in 2016 on the first floor of a 100-year-old meatpacking factory. Danish for “love,” Elske is a nod to chef David’s Danish mother, to his Scandinavian upbringing, and to Copenhagen— where the couple got engaged.
For the occasion, the husband-and-wife team will shine a spotlight on the people behind the plate by featuring an original menu from sous chefs Nick Byrns and Kat Kraner along with pastry chef T.C. Lumbar.
The evening will also feature sparkling wine from J Vineyards & Winery.
*70% of your ticket price will go directly to the host chef to support their business while 30% will go towards the Foundation’s national programming that is rooted in advocacy, racial equity, sustainability, and women’s leadership for the culinary industry.
All reservations must be made in advance. Should the event(s) be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, The James Beard Foundation will offer options including ticket exchanges, use of tickets for future events, and option to donate tickets.
James Beard Foundation events permit guests age 21 and older.
